Congratulations JUSTIFY!!! Wins Belmont Stakes 2018. Becoming the 13th Triple Crown Winner! The Triple Crown of horse racing consists of the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes. The series starts on the first Saturday in May with the Kentucky Derby, then followed two weeks later by the Preakness with the Belmont three weeks later. Note: Gallant Fox (1930) is the only Triple Crown winner to sire another Triple Crown winner, Omaha (1935). Woodward Sr., owner of Belair Stud, was breeder-owner of both horses and both were trained by Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons.

The English Triple Crown Winners is a three-race competition for Thoroughbredracehorses.

Scat Daddy - Stage Magic, by Ghostzapper. Owner: China Horse Club, Head of Plains. To win the Triple Crown a 3 year old horse must win all three legs or jewels in the series. The three races are The Kentucky Derby, The Preakness Stakes, and The Belmont Stakes. In 1919 Sir Barton became the first racehorse to win all three races.

The English Triple Crown consists of the 2000 Guineas Stakes (at 1 mile), The Derby (at 1½ miles), and the St. Leger Stakes (at 1 mile 6 furlongs and 127 yds) although the distances have varied throughout the years.

• In 1789, Zanga finished first in the St. Leger Stakes, but was disqualified for jostling.
• In 1844, Running Rein finished first in the Epsom Derby, but was disqualified as he was actually an ineligible four-year-old horse named Maccabeus.
• In 1913, Craganour finished first in the Epsom Derby, but was controversially disqualified.
• In 1980, Nureyev finished first in the 2000 Guineas, but was relegated to last place following a stewards' inquiry.
